"I went to Manning Therapy starting on January 2nd after I broke and fractured my left wrist while hiking in Frick Park the Saturday after Thanksgiving 2023. I can not thank Manning Therapy enough for helping to get my wrist back to about 80-85%. I believe it will also continue to improve. A plate with screws was also placed in my wrist during surgery. I spent 11 weeks at therapy going mostly twice a week. The whole staff is wonderful, very friendly and they know their stuff. I would highly recommend going to Manning for your Physical Therapy. There was always a consistent amount of patients there over the 11weeks I was there. Great job and highly recommend. I went to the Green Tree location. "

"Unfortunately, I dislocated my shoulder the day after Christmas. After my doctors visit he sent me to Manning Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine for physical therapy. The therapist are a cut above the rest, they really care about you and are so helpful in working with you. They are there to answer my questions and are hands on in making sure I'm doing my exercises correctly. The office staff is very accommodating to your schedule and they turn a bad experience into a pleasant one. I will highly recommend Manning Physical therapy to my family and friends if needed. Also, the office was close to home and had ample parking. Once again, I am grateful for all the help I received at Manning Physical therapy Greentree office. Thanks to all!! "

"I had two total knee replacements. The first one was in 2017 and the second one was in 2018. I had to do some pretty intense therapy but the people who work there are absolutely AMAZING!!! They are so caring and it feels like one big family when you're there. Believe me, they really care about how you're doing and they are always so encouraging. I love this group and I thank them for making every visit so nice."

"The team is extremely accommodating, the facility is clean, and therapy staff is very attentive. Unlike other PT places where the low ratio of PTs to patients means that there is often dead time between intervals, I always felt like I had the attention of the PTs here. I'd absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for muscle and tendon tear recovery."

"I sustained a right medial meniscus tear that involved post operative physical therapy. After three months of therapy, I’ve improved the strength in my knee and mobility ten fold. Manning Physical Therapy and Sports medicine has a great team to help encourage your recovery. "Everyone who works in the Greentree facility has been wonderful to work with. Mark, the physical therapist, is on top of his game and responds to any areas of concern that I bring up. The therapist assistants Bridget and Kelsey are great to work with. They are skilled at their jobs and also a delight to work with. Lisa is great at scheduling my appointments to fit with my work and/or life schedule. I am very pleased with the progress I have made after 3.5 weeks of treatments. I have found everyone in the Greentree office to be very personable which makes my therapy sessions enjoyable."

"I have been coming to Manning Physical Therapy for several issues . I have had two hip replacements an in the past. Manning PT has kept me going with the excellent services and inspiration by the entire staff. Everyone is very concientous about my care. Pat Manning is very knowledgable in all aspects of care. I have been directed by my surgeons to complete my therapy at the hospital venues. I have tried all the ones in Pgh recommended to me to keep my surgeons happy, HOWEVER there is nothing here in Pgh to compare the quality & attention that Manning PT provides. Aside from these physical problems I also have various heart problems and give credit to Manning PT for keeping me going for so many years. I am so glad I am able to pick my facility that does such a good job rather then being forced to go the venues my surgeons prefer. Please make the right choice and check out this MIRACULOUS facility, you will be glad you did."

"I was referred to Manning from my orthopedic doctor for physical therapy to rehab a torn meniscus. The Castle Shannon location is 5 minutes from my house and the hours suited my needs for being able to do the physical therapy before I had to go to work in downtown Pittsburgh. The physical therapists were so knowledgeable and helpful, adding different exercises as I progressed. My knee was so weak when I started physical therapy but it feels so much stronger. I don't think I would be in the place I am in now without it. I looked forward to coming to physical therapy and I thank them very much!"

"In June, 2002, I injured my knee and required orthoscopic knee surgery. I could hardly walk. I couldn't go up or down stairs, I was in a great deal of pain, and I was living on ibuprofen. Severe arthritis and my age (60 + years) compounded the problem. I was told by an orthopedic doctor, that I needed a knee replacement and by my sports med doctor that although I had been asymptomatic before the injury, the arthritis would probably become debilitating due to the extent of the injury and that I would probably need a knee replacement at some point. He wanted me to go to therapy to see if anything might help or postpone the inevitable surgery. I found Manning PT. When I met Mark Orsi at Manning Physical Therapy, he had already seen my medical record and knew what my challenges would be. Nonetheless, he listened to my goals which included returning to jazzercise and ballet classes that I attended before the accident. Instead of reiterating what everyone else had said, he was extremely positive and supportive. He laid out a rehab program for me and said let's get to work. Mark has always taken the time to answer my questions and continues to adjust my therapy as I improve, so that I am continually challenged to get stronger. Several months after my surgery, I'm still in therapy; however, I am absolutely pain free, my knee is 98% to where it was before my accident, and I'm back in jazzercise! I've still got a way to go; however, my sports med doctor agrees that I will probably never need knee replacement surgery. I can't thank Mark and the rest of the staff for their willingness to listen, to challenge me, and to help me reach my goals. They are a remarkable team who support and deeply care about their patients."

"I had a total right hip replacement done on Nov 8, 2019. After some PT at home the first few weeks I went to Manning PT because of the great reviews. I'm sooo glad I did. Pat Manning and all of the staff there were kind, knowledgeable, and so supportive. They were very patient as I learned the exercises, making sure I wasn't in any pain that I couldn't manage. My hip just kept getting better each week. By the end of Jan I was ready for that trip to Florida I'd been looking forward to. At some point I will have to have my knee done, and will definitely make Manning Physical Therapy part of my recovery."

She is always helpful. Patrick Manning the owner is very nice. He is truly interested in everything that is going on with his patients. He told me from the beginning it may take time but we will do all we can for you to avoid spinal surgery. I could barely walk, Joe and Linda are always so caring and helpful to everyone who enters the door. Over the last three months I have seen many patients young and old and have always heard encouraging words and positive results. Today is my last day of PT, no surgery needed. "Awesome place! I suffered a pretty nasty ankle sprain. Staff is very nice and friendly, and I feel like the exercises they have me doing have really helped me gain strength back in my ankle. I am almost back to playing basketball and walking with no pain. Dr. Manning is great! I hope I don’t have to come back (obviously don’t want to get hurt again) but if i did have to do PT again, I would 100% come back here with no hesitation."

"It is not surprising to me that all of these reviews are 5 stars. I don’t normally write on-line reviews for places, but I am so pleased with the attention that I got from Pat Manning and his team at Castle Shannon that I will add mine to the list. First, a bit of backstory. I am as active as a 50 year old guy can be. For 30 years now, i have been running marathons, doing triathlons, playing basketball and competitive tennis, swimming, cycling, rock climbing, mountain bike riding, etc. For the last 6 or 7 years my body is showing the signs of a lifetime of extreme wear. During that time I’ve done hundreds of sessions of therapy at 10 different establishments for, sadly, too long a list of injuries (both rotator cuffs, core muscle tears, torn meniscus, torn hip labrum, planter fasciitis, IT band, shin splints, and tennis elbow). My goals have always been the same —I always expect recovery to allow me to resume my activities at the highest levels possible. I’ve been pleased enough with the majority of the places that have treated me, but most pleased with Pat. He clearly is an expert in his field and stays up on all of the current best practices. What I liked most is that he doesn’t rush you through your sessions. I always had the feeling he was doing everything in his power to help my recoveries and was willing to take whatever time necessary to do that. "I required physical therapy to assist in my recovery from back surgery for spinal stenosis. Manning Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine in Green Tree was recommended by two friends who had used the facility in the past with excellent results. My experience was the same. The therapists are very knowledgeable and attentive to their clients’ needs. They establish a program for recovery from surgery or injury and monitor progress, adjusting the program as needed in order to provide the most efficient yet comfortable path to complete recovery. "I have been with MPT for about 2 months now, since my hip replacement. I went there on a recommendation from a friend. I’ve been to several PT’s and have found MPT to be very friendly and definitely makes me feel welcome. I’m doing extremely well, and I’m a difficult patient due to 7 prior back surgeries, I have more problems than most. Several months ago I suffered a knee injury that required me to have an operation that resulted in having to utilize a cane for awhile.
